The "The Knights of the Immaculate" from Benque Viejo del Carmen, Belize traveled to the United States in order to attend a Steubenville Youth Conference in Steubenville, Ohio June 10-21, 2011.
The Knights of the Immaculate is a club at Mount Carmel High School that serves as an opportunity for the young men to grow in faith, prayer, service, love, purity, fun, and brotherhood together under the mantle of Our Lady.
There are 7 Knights of the Immaculate and myself who made a life-changing 11 day spiritual retreat to the United States from June 10th – June 21st. Throughout their trip to the United States, the Knights of the Immaculate had the opportunity to see some major sights and landmarks, receive spiritual formation, have a lot of fun, and attend a Franciscan University High School Youth Conference in Steubenville, Ohio where 2,000+ teenagers gathered for prayer, worship, and inspirational talks to encounter an exchange of youthful enthusiasm and faith. I know for myself and for many who attended the Steubenville Youth Conference, it was life-changing.
Some of the sight-seeing spots included: the Inner Harbor, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the Basilica of the Assumption, the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, Our Daily Bread, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the National Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in DC, the National Zoo in DC, the White House, the Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, Six Flags America, and Franciscan University of Steubenville.
